Windrose Academy understands the importance of celebrating our country’s victories and keeping the memory alive for younger generations. To ensure that it’s part of their character-building process, our school celebrated ‘Belonging Week last week.’ The week was an excellent opportunity to encourage our students to embed within themselves a sense of pride and belonging to their great country, Egypt. Many activities were arranged in All the classes and throughout the Key stages, allowing students to express their feelings through Art, Writing, and Drama in Arabic, English, French, and German. The festivities culminated with patriotic songs, dances, and drama to inform our students about our victory in the 6th October War and keep the memory alive in the minds of youngsters who cannot associate themselves with the occasion. The day ended with an ex-army officer giving a motivational speech to our year 8 students about the meaning of Freedom, pride, and achievement. It was indeed a memorable and wonderful day.
