Welcome to Week #2 of Virtual Learning. Everyone is working diligently to maintain the momentum from Term 1 to continue the excellence in learning for all of our students. Please check the schedules sent by your child’s class teacher or coordinator. Students should be dressed in their uniform and sitting at an appropriate workspace like a table or desk. Please check the equipment to be sure students can hear properly and can be heard as well. Our teachers are working hard to create and deliver interactive lessons to help students stay engaged during this mandated closure. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Stay safe!

Welcome to Term 2. We are looking forward to seeing all of our students attending online sessions between now and February 20th as per the decree. We will notify parents as soon as we hear anything new and updated.

We plan to continue our momentum into this term and will be having full schedules for all of our students. Please be sure to have your child attend the online session or view the recordings after the session. Please email your coordinator if you have any questions or concerns.

This week we will see many ends of term activities including recorded performances for FS1 and FS2 holiday songs and plays. We will see online revision for KS2/3/4 leading up to Wednesday’s start of Term 1 final exams. Please do not send your child to school if they are ill or exhibit any cold or flu-like symptoms. Please let your child’s teacher or school doctor know if your child is too ill to attend exams.

Successful exam preparation includes plenty of rest and a good breakfast.   All students will be released at 11 am during exams – December 16-22. Please make advanced preparations. Winter break is set to begin December 23 and return January 10.

We are winding down the 1st term and ready for a lovely winter break. Please pay close attention to the email sent with specific information for revision and exam schedules as well as early release times during exams. We are looking forward to completing exams and ending the term on a happy note.

January 10, 2021 will be the return date to school after the winter holidays. This will mark the first day of Term 2 and the beginning of the new year – 2021. We will be sending out specifics regarding schedules in the week before we return.  Please be sure to return any library books and textbooks during exam week so they can be checked off.

This week will have some special in-house activities for some extra fun. KS2 will be having literacy week with a spelling bee, book cover design contest and ending with Book Character Dress up day on Thursday.

Some KS1 classes will have their final dance performances outside. The recordings will be sent to parents. This is the culminating activity for their dance unit in PE. They have been working very hard preparing their dances.

Please do you part in maintaining health and safety of our community and report any illnesses to the school doctors, do not send your child to school sick, remind your children about mask-wearing and hand-washing as we reinforce that at school.

Next week we will be kicking off Literacy Week in KS2. There will be fun events to promote reading and literacy including a spelling bee, bookmark projects, book cover design contests and a Book Character Dress-up day. Please stay tuned to further information.

As we move into the winter months a few reminders to help keep our community healthy:

* Please do not send your child to school if they exhibit any cold symptoms

* Please reinforce the protocols for school like mask-wearing

* Encourage healthy eating and hand-washing at all times
