Term1 Ending

Dec 08,2020

We are winding down the 1st term and ready for a lovely winter break. Please pay close attention to the email sent with specific information for revision and exam schedules as well as early release times during exams. We are looking forward to completing exams and ending the term on a happy note.

January 10, 2021 will be the return date to school after the winter holidays. This will mark the first day of Term 2 and the beginning of the new year – 2021. We will be sending out specifics regarding schedules in the week before we return.  Please be sure to return any library books and textbooks during exam week so they can be checked off.

We thank you for your support.

A busy week

Nov 29,2020

This week will have some special in-house activities for some extra fun. KS2 will be having literacy week with a spelling bee, book cover design contest and ending with Book Character Dress up day on Thursday.

Some KS1 classes will have their final dance performances outside. The recordings will be sent to parents. This is the culminating activity for their dance unit in PE. They have been working very hard preparing their dances.

Please do you part in maintaining health and safety of our community and report any illnesses to the school doctors, do not send your child to school sick, remind your children about mask-wearing and hand-washing as we reinforce that at school.

Have a great week!

Welcome to the second half of Term 1

Nov 17,2020

Welcome to the second half of Term 1. We are celebrating Literacy Week next week so please be on the lookout for more information for the week’s events. We will be encouraging the love of reading and language during the week.

Please discuss with your child the importance of keeping their masks on and being as socially distant as they can. We are in a critical time entering the winter months and need to refocus back to health and safety measures within our community. The next few months are very important to wear masks, wash hands and keep distance.

We wish you a wonderful short week.

Mid-term Break

Nov 09,2020

The month of November will be a very busy one. We will have a midterm break on November 15-16. Parents will receive information on your child’s progress at midterms towards the end of this week. This will give you a small glimpse at their progress after these 6 intensive weeks back to school five days a week. We have made a lot of progress getting children back into their routines and structure. We still need your support in daily reminders of mask-wearing, social distancing, and washing hands as we enter the winter season. Please enjoy your midterm break.

Welcome to November

Nov 02,2020

Welcome to November. We celebrated a fun day with Halloween celebrations – some spooky science activities and trick or treating. It was a fun day before KS2-KS4 begin exams. Remember a good night’s sleep and breakfast are very important components to set children on the path to success in their midterm exams. This is the first exam for many children in months so helping them to relax will also help ensure confidence in these challenging times.

Preparations have begun to plan parent meetings for November 15th to ensure safety and social distancing for all involved. More information will be shared about how these meetings will be held this year in unique circumstances.

Thanks for al your support of the school’s protocols and requirements to help keep everyone safe and healthy.
